WASHINGTON, D.C. — Representatives Sylvia Garcia (TX-29), Rosa DeLauro (CT-03), Deb Haaland (NM-01), Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02), and Betty McCollum (MN-04) led 86 Members of Congress in sending a letter to Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Doctor Robert Redfield condemning, urging the immediate halt of, and demanding an explanation for the recent modifications to COVID-19 testing guidelines that suggest not all those exposed to COVID-19 need to be tested.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (TX-29) joined 256 Democratic and Republican colleagues to pass the Delivering for America Act, which would address the Trump administration's assault on the U.S. Postal Service. This bill would require the Postal Service to return to the Postal Service operations and levels of service that were in place on January 1, 2020, throughout the duration of the coronavirus public health emergency and requires all election mail to be treated as First-Class mail.

HOUSTON, TX – Today, Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (TX-29) will be donating 10,000 N95 masks to Harris Health's Strawberry Health Center, this is a part of her ongoing efforts to ensure everyone in the Texas 29th Congressional District and the greater Houston region has access to the protective equipment they need to stay healthy and safe during this ongoing pandemic. Dr. Esmaeil Porsa, CEO of Harris Health, and Dr. Glorimar Medina, Executive Vice President for Ambulatory Services will be present to receive the N95 masks.
