Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia Reintroduces Don’t Block Our Communities Act to Hold Railroads Accountable and Protect Public Safety
WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (D-TX-29) alongside Democratic Women's Caucus (DWC) Members Robin Kelly (D-IL-02), Delia Ramirez (D-IL-03), and DWC Policy Task Force Co-Chair Sydney Kamlager-Dove (D-CA-37), led 61 House Democrats in a letter to demand the urgent release and investigation of pregnant, postpartum, and nursing women currently detained by Immigration and Custody Enforcement (ICE) in contradiction to Federal regulations.
