Congressional App Challenge

Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia is excited to announce that her office will participate in the Congressional App Challenge, a national app competition for students in middle and high schools across the country. Students who reside or attend school within the Texas 29th Congressional District are eligible to compete.

We strongly encourage the participation of all students, regardless of their skill level or previous coding experience. The Challenge is an excellent opportunity to introduce more students to the world of STEM. We must continue to invest in our youth and recognize them for their efforts.

Every year, Members of Congress challenge students in their districts to create and submit their original apps for a chance to win the Congressional App Challenge. Each challenge is district-specific. U.S. Representatives publicly recognize their winning teams, and each winning app may be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year.
