WASHINGTON, DC -- On January 22nd, 2020, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) announced its approval of a Medicaid family planning program in Texas that bars women from seeking care from healthcare providers that offer abortion services, such as Planned Parenthood.
"It is deeply concerning that in a state with a maternal mortality rate that is higher than many developing countries, our leaders are blocking healthcare from those that are most at risk," Congresswoman Garcia said.
WASHINGTON, DC — Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (TX-29) joined Congressman Brown, Vice Chair of House Armed Services Committee, and 29 other lawmakers in sending a letter to Defense Secretary Mark Esper about the administration's plan to divert billions of dollars in military funds to additional wall construction along the U.S.- Mexico border.

The impeachment managers will act as prosecutors for House Democrats who will outline the case against President Donald Trump in the Ukraine scandal during the Senate trial.
