WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has agreed to bring the "I am Vanessa Guillén" Act to the House floor for a vote, according to Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-CA).
HOUSTON, TX – Today, Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (TX-29) introduced The Elder Abuse Prevention Act, which would direct the Attorney General to establish the Elder Justice Initiative within the Department of Justice Criminal Division. The Elder Justice Initiative would be responsible for coordinating criminal enforcement and public engagement efforts to combat elder abuse, neglect, and financial fraud and scams that target elders.

This bill would require the Postal Service to return to the Postal Service operations and levels of service that were in place on January 1, 2020, throughout the duration of the coronavirus public health emergency and requires all election mail to be treated as First-Class mail.
