WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia announced that Texas will receive more than $937 million in Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This funding, aimed at bolstering recovery efforts from Hurricane Beryl and the May derecho storm, includes $67,326,000 to Harris County, $314,645,000 to the City of Houston, and $555,687,000 to the state.
