“I know the pain of growing up hungry, of being afraid to open the refrigerator to only see the water jug, of growing up on commodity food, of fearing the summer.
“Any bill that claims to address immigration and fails to include all Dreamers is unacceptable. After months of negotiations that failed to include a single Congressional Hispanic Caucus member on this crucial Senate National Security Supplemental Deal, it is no surprise that this bill was doomed from the start because the constituencies most affected were not welcomed to the table,” said Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia.
