The Congresswoman has been tested and is awaiting results. After consulting with her physician and the Attending Physician of the United States Congress, the Congresswoman will be self-isolating for the period of time recommended by the CDC.

"On the heels of a House Judiciary Committee hearing on protecting the right to vote during COVID-19, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has issued a stay on a federal court's decision that allowed for the expansion of vote-by-mail in Texas. I strongly disagree with this misguided decision, which will force Texas voters to choose between their health and voting.
