Rep. Sylvia Garcia Announces El Centro del Corazon Received a $167,000 Grant from the Department of Health and Human Services

WASHINGTON, DC — Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (TX-29) announces the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service has awarded $167,000 to el Centro del Corazon towards the end of 2019. This grant money will support el Centro del Corazon with delivering quality healthcare to the medically underserved and uninsured in the Houston area, which includes services and programs such as diabetes self-management, children wellness, and comprehensive prenatal and postnatal care. El Centro del Corazon also provides ancillary services to help connect patients and their families with the resources they need for their health and well-being.
