Members of Houston’s Congressional Delegation Issue Bipartisan Joint Statement on the Coronavirus Pandemic

HOUSTON, TX – Today, bipartisan members of the Houston Congressional delegation released the following statement on the coronavirus pandemic. Joining the statement were Representatives Sylvia Garcia (TX-29), Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07), Pete Olson (TX-22), Dan Crenshaw (TX-02), Al Green (TX-09), Michael McCaul (TX-10), and Sheila Jackson Lee (TX-18).

"The spread of COVID-19 represents a serious and unprecedented threat to the health and safety of our communities. As members of the Houston Congressional delegation, we are committed to working together for our region and our country. We will work to acquire the resources, guidance, and support it needs to combat this pandemic. Now is the time for all of us to work together to minimize the spread of coronavirus across our community and our country, protect hard-working families that will be hit the most by this disease, and help small businesses stay afloat while we tackle this ongoing threat. We are Houston Strong and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the community ready to make it through this together."
