Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia Votes Yes on the Clean Stopgap Funding CR

Washington D.C. - Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia voted in support of the Clean Stopgap Funding CR that excludes extreme MAGA Republican cuts to SNAP, Social Security, and Veteran benefits.

“I stood with House Democrats against the Extreme MAGA Republicans' nefarious efforts to slash investments that are fundamental to the well-being of our nation," said Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia. "Their disarray and disorganization threatened to push our great nation towards a costly government shutdown, endangering crucial government functions and services that millions of Americans rely on daily. I remain committed to protecting vital investments in housing, education, and the welfare of the American people.”

The Stopgap Funding CR was passed by 335-91.
