Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia's Statement on the Recent FDIC Report

Washington, D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Sylvia R. Garcia (D-TX-29) issued the following statement on the alarming findings of a recent report revealing a pervasive culture of sexual misconduct and discrimination at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC):

 "The recent report makes clear that there is a pervasive culture of sexual misconduct and discrimination at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Congress must do more to address sexual harassment and discrimination and to protect workers at the FDIC and in workplaces all across the nation. We must conduct critical oversight over the FDIC to ensure it enacts systemic changes and holds all those responsible for perpetrating such a disturbing level of sexual harassment and discrimination."
