Houston, TXCongresswoman Sylvia Garcia (TX-29) is proud to be joining Mayor Sylvester Turner, Councilman Robert Gallegos, and other Houston elected officials today to announce the launch of a new UMMC Coronavirus drive-thru testing site in the 29th Congressional District. The United States has more than 965,000 reported cases and more than 55,000 deaths, which includes 5,729 cases and more than 90 Coronavirus-related deaths in Harris County.

"I am thrilled to be joining Mayor Sylvester Turner, Councilman Robert Gallegos, and other Houston-area elected officials to bring this new COVID-19 testing site to my district," said Congresswoman Garcia. "Expanding testing across Houston and Harris County is critical as the state prepares to reopen our economy. This testing site will further equip us to make decisions based on data and facts that will help us save lives and keep people safe in my district and all across the Houston region."
