Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (TX-29) extended her congratulations to Alamdar Hamdani on being recently confirmed as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas by the U.S. Senate.
"With Alamdar Hamdani for the Southern District, the U.S. Senate has confirmed an honorable public servant who reflects America's diversity and history of excellence," said Congresswoman Garcia. "A University of Houston Law graduate, his track record of transparency and accountability as a law enforcement professional with the Houston U.S. attorney's office is impeccable. I look forward to the remarkable impact Hamdani will now bring as the top federal law enforcement officer in southeast Texas."
