Congresswoman Garcia's Statement on COVID-19 Exposure

"Congresswoman Garcia received a negative test following this weekend's exposure to COVID-19," said Rep. Garcia's spokesperson. "The Congresswoman is fully vaccinated and boosted and, in accordance with CDC health guidelines, will be monitoring health symptoms closely."

Congresswoman Sylvia R. Garcia was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in November 2018, becoming the first Latina ever to represent the Texas 29th Congressional District. She serves on the House Judiciary, Financial Services, and Armed Services Committees.
