Congresswoman Garcia Statement on SCOTUS Ruling on Census 2020

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Sylvia R. Garcia (TX-29) issued the following statement in reaction to the Supreme Court's ruling on the 2020 Census:

"The United States Supreme Court has agreed the Trump Administration does not want to ask about the citizenship status of US resident for any legitimate purpose. This is a huge step to a complete and accurate count of every person living in the United States. But the hard work is ahead of us. We must all do what we can to make sure every person counts."
