Rep. Sylvia Garcia, D-Texas, introduced a bill to bolster gynecological cancer care services at the VA. It would start as a pilot program at select VA health centers.

"More and more women are joining the military services. And in fact, we've got a couple of million women in the military services now," adding: "So [VA] has to make that adjustment," Garcia said.

"Not only are there more women, there, are also younger women. And again, you've got to make the shift and address those needs," Garcia added.
