Rep. Sylvia Garcia Announces BakerRipley Received more than $10.8 Million in Grant Money from the Department of Health and Human Services

WASHINGTON, DC — Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (TX-29) announces the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded BakerRipley more than $10.8 million in grant money for its Head Start and Early Head Start programs in the Texas 29^th Congressional District.

BakerRipley is a community organization in Houston, TX that's committed to improving access to education, adequate wages, and decent living conditions for all Houstonians. It serves more than 500,000 children, youth, adults, and seniors each year at 60 different services sites, including its flagship community centers, Head Start preschools, and senior centers.
