Project to remake part of Telephone Road into pedestrian-friendly boulevard wins $21M federal grant

Reps. Sylvia Garcia and Al Green, the Houston Democrats who represent the area where the Telephone project will be built, sent letters of support for the city's application, along with more than a dozen local elected officials, agencies and advocacy groups.
