WASHINGTON, DC — Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia was joined by 15 colleagues in the House of Representatives sent a letter to the CEO of MeToo Kit, an at-home, self-administered rape kit. The Congresswoman and her colleagues are concerned about the for-profit nature of this product, considering sexual assault forensic exams are currently provided at no cost, and that a self-administered rape-kit is an inadequate replacement for a forensic medical exam.
